- Pre-authorized deposit (PAD) 3-4 business days when the total daily deposit amount is under $10,000. Up to 7 business days when the total daily deposit amount is $10,000 or more, or when using a void cheque. CAD & USD: Interac Online: Instant for deposits made before 5:45pm ET 1-2 business days for new accounts and deposits made after 5:45pm ET.
- Direct deposit can be arranged with your employer or the issuer of a payment. You will need to provide the issuer with the necessary information regarding your account, such as a voided cheque. To Print a Void Cheque in Online Banking: Sign in to Online Banking and click Profile & Account Settings.

For either RBC Express or Beanstream you will need EFT Simply as that is the 'portal' that all direct deposit will go thru. There is slightly more work involved with RBC but the period of time between processing the DDs (Direct Deposit) is far shorter for RBC than Beanstream. To set up direct deposit, you will need to know the branch, institution, and account number for your bank account. Your branch (transit), institution, and account number are located on the bottom of a cheque for the relevant account, as shown below. If you do not have cheques or cannot find the numbers shown, you will need to contact your bank.
